Dr Edel is co-founder and director of Regenacellx.sl, specializing in Regenerative Medicine, based in Barcelona, Spain. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Regenacellx.sl is developing a DNA aptamer-based technology with Achiko AG, to detect the virus that is accurate, fast and affordable. He has a high level of scholarship with Dr Edel having served as a visiting academic at Harvard (2000), VCRRI Sydney (2012) and  Oxford University (2018-2019), where he now focuses his career in developing innovative technology for regenerating the damaged human body. He has a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy, Human Biology and Physiology and his PhD focused on mechanisms of neoplastic growth using advanced histology and molecular biology methods, from the University of Western Australia.
